This symposium will focus on the latest developments in research on Japanese historical linguistics. Presentations will discuss the methodology used in reconstructing older forms of Japanese and other languages and understanding the position of Japanese in relation to them.

You will receive a confirmation message that you should print out and carry with you, to allow you to enter without charge the Natural and Cultural Gardens where the National Museum is located, and also to enter the symposium venue. Those who have already registered to attend the 20th International Conference on Historical Linguistics (ICHL20) do not need to indicate their intention to attend this Symposium.
