Purpose
Providing 2 days educational environment for both Hopi professional silversmiths and students. The artists who attend the workshop in New Mexico (Reconnecting Archaeological Materials with Descendant & Source Communities: Collections Review, Field Trip, Art Work Creation, and Exhibition Planning) will be the instructor. They will share their experiences on visiting Mimbres sites and reviewing pots collection with young silversmiths. The instructors will also show the designs and stance for creativity for the young students using MNA collections. These two workshops are a part of the "Reconnecting source community with museum collection project".
