Recent Research Interests:

After 50 years' Soviet regime, independence was regained in Estonia in 1991. From the early 90's Estonia has faced challenges of nation-building and democratization, while it is making every effort to integrate toward the European Union.
Estonian society has experienced changes of political and educational institutions, legislation and economic system etc. during these years. My main interest lies in the changes of society and identity in the reform process.
