The agreement between the National Museum of Ethnology and the Inner Mongolia University (People’s Republic of China) was established using the principles of equity, mutual benefit and mutual respect to establish programs of academic collaboration in several fields. In the academic research and museum fields, they will encourage exchange among faculty members and researchers, the development of research projects, and the display of exhibits. In education, they will enhance cooperative activities and will promote sharing and mutual access to academic research materials, academic information, and publications. It is expected that the academic collaboration brought about by this agreement will further deepen mutual understanding and enhance friendly relations between the two nations.

Director-General Matsuzono, National Museum of Ethnology, and Vice-President Hugjiltu, Inner Mongolia University (People’s Republic of China), signed the agreement at a ceremony held at Inner Mongolia University, September 22, 2008.
