- Aims
- The workshop aims to discuss the basic policies on development aid and the roles of anthropologists / sociologists in development projects of the Canadian International Development Agency and the World Bank. In particular, we hope to consider the possibilities, necessities and limitation in the social use of anthropology / sociology for development aid projects. This will be achieved through comparative examinations of several cases from the CIDA, World Band and Japanese development agencies, focusing on social assessment, participant development and social safeguards.
