Cultural Exchange Agreement with the National Folk Museum of Korea (Republic of Korea)

The National Museum of Ethnology (MINPAKU) and the National Folk Museum of Korea (NFMK) (Republic of Korea) reached a cultural exchange agreement to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship and further consolidate and develop friendly relations between the two organizations through academic and cultural exchanges.

MINPAKU Director-General MATSUZONO Makio and NFMK Director-General SHIN Gwang Seop signed the agreement at a ceremony held in the office of the Director-General of MINPAKU, July 11, 2007.

Both organizations will promote exchange and collaboration in academic research and museum activity, which includes exchange among faculty members and researchers, implementation of joint research projects and research meetings, collaboration in both museums' exhibitions and educational activities, and sharing academic information and publications. Specifically, adding Korean voiceover to the MINPAKU Digital Guide is under consideration.
